A Man, A Mountain and a Good Horse
This is a solo horse pack trip deep into the Wyoming mountain Range along Willow Creek near Hoback river south of Jackson Hole Wyoming and west of Pinedale Wyoming.
I ran away from home on horse back for a few days by myself into the mountains. Did some exploring, relaxing and sight seeing. You know sometimes all a man needs is a good mountain and a good horse and for those good moments that’s all you need
Please comment and share your feedback with us. We would love to hear from you.
Be sure to like and share if you enjoyed this video and above all thanks for tuning in. More wilderness horseback trips to come.
Stay curious and explore and be nice to your horse

A friend called and asked me if I wanted to go and help him set up hunting camp. He said it was only a 6 mile horse ride. Right, well after 14 miles and a climb up to a Alpine Lake at 11800 feet in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Colorado High Country. It was a hard trail packing the horses in and with his camp. I questioned going along but it was a good adventure into the High Country and I ...

The smell of horses, stables and pine trees are on the top of my list for God's greatest comforts. I should have been born a couple of hundred years ago but alas a I'm a boomer, old enough to have known a quieter world but young enough for the technology. I miss riding through pine forests just me, my dog side kick, Jazzi and a wonderful little Arabian mare I called Petite Rouge, who was smart and steady no matter to trail. We did thousand of miles together and miss them both with a soul deep ache at times, but much remembered joy as well. Watching your ride I would gladly saddle up and get back out there on the trail. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

I'm a little late. Just discovered this 5/31/24. Excellent videos! I thoroughly enjoyed all! A couple of times you mentioned how slow everything was growing back after the fire. I've heard those fires can get hot enough to sterilize the earth for 5-10 years afterward. I wonder if that might be what you guys were witnessing? Amazing footage! Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with us! I can recall the ancient feeling of the Yellowstone Park and that was the area the tourists visit. The one thing I noticed about this series is the lack of wildlife. Do you think it's because of the wildfires or because they can hear the mule trains long before you would see any? Thank you so much for posting ;) rides of a lifetime for sure!

Stone circles could have been tipi rings. These are found all over Wyoming and northern Colorado. Stone were used to hold these shelters down, would be my guess.

This brings back memories from when I lived in Cody, and worked out of Meeteetse. I spend many days in that wilderness, packing in on horseback, fly fishing. I always saw moose where the Greybull River bottom was wide and full of willows. We even got up on the divide between the Wood and Greybull rivers in 1988 when it was dry and Yellowstone had that big fire. Wonderful country.
